Very early in my Air Force career I overheard someone say that the Thrift Savings Plan “wasn’t very good” so I never put into it, plus I’ve been so bad at budgeting that I probably would have stopped investing in it and withdrawn it anyway. 23 years later I’m kicking myself. In 2018 I sold my house for $330k expecting to buy something else, the market shot up and I’m stuck renting, that house is now worth $520k. Tough lessens that I guess I needed to be humbled enough to change my mindset.

I agree with this wholeheartedly. I applied that in my years of onboarding door knocking sales reps- They got all my time and attention until they could survive on their own and I had conversations with people frequently about the risk they'd take in transitioning. But on the flip side, I helped many people survive the 2008-2014 crisis created by the Republiclan economic collapse! ANd it wasn't easy- but it was fulfilling!

I feel sooner the better, because first the government will incentivize, then they will require, and then they will start to fine people for not having it, we don’t know for sure, but customers are right to have some fomo because the incentives will eventually go away

I respect doing a job knowing that every day of people are going to hate what you do for a living. It’s certainly not for me but kudos to you guys that can do it. There’s a lot of other way that you can make $1 million a year though.

It's a sales scam, only the supplier wins, the installation guys get a job , the homeowners wind up with a roof that can't be replaced because of the equipment
